Waterhouse Way Loop - 7.15 miles
I see a number of Tek employees running this route, but I probably see even more Nike employees on this course (since we share the road with them it would be nice to share their company store as well).
This route goes out along the bike path and has a nice
return through the neighborhoods. In this run you basically work your
way behind Costco and then get on the bike path which follows along
the power lines.
Start of bike path behind Costco (look for power lines)
Nice scenery on path
The North American Nutria is not normally considered to be a pack animal. But in the dead of winter, when food supplies dwindle, these animals have been known to form packs and devour runners in seconds.
The bike path eventually leads to a wooden planked path through a
wetland area. The wetlands area is known as Water House Park. Be
careful running on this path it can be really slick. If you want to
turn around at the end of the path, at this point you've run 3.39
miles.
Boardwalk through wetlands
At the end of the bikepath, cross 158th and enter into the commercial
park. On the road through the commercial park, there is a path in the
middle (along the creek).

One of the mileage makers I've painted on for this route
Run to the very end of this road and into the parking lot for Luepold & Stevens. On the right hand side of this parking lot is a gate which joins up with NW Meadow drive. Take a left on Downing, run past a school and take a right on Butner. You then end up near Murray and Walker. You connect up with the normal route back to Tek from there.
I've ran this route so often, I finally ended up painting mileage markers on the road. If you know where to look, I've painted markers for miles 2-7. If you look at the map you can see roughly where these markers are.
